Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar chaired a meeting here today to discuss the conclusion and outcomes of the recent review of PSDP projects, carried out by the Planning Commission. Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Secretary Planning and other seniors participated in the meeting.

The Minister was informed that PSDP projects of all the Ministries / Division were discussed in detail during the review exercise. The Ministries submitted their progress reports and their work plan for the remainder of the financial Year. Various Ministries/ Division also suggested re-appropriation of their funds to enable them to complete same projects within this year.

The Minister expresses his satisfaction at the review and directed that the Planning Commission must now follow up with the Ministries/Division to ensure that the available financial resources are utilized by the projects without any delay. He said that any specific issues including the implementation of the projects be brought to his notice, so that the same could be resolved.
