Social Sector Research Seminar team at the Planning Commission is pleased to present key findings of seminars conducted during second half of the year 2017. Speakers from diverse backgrounds, including government officers with extensive experience in research, professors from US Universities and a researcher from an international organization presented research on various topics including poverty, food security, knowledge spillover, issues pertaining to efficiency of examination system, smart schools, and availability of Green and Clean Environment. The key points of the seminars presented are important for policy and planning processes. I am fortunate to be supported by two ambitious editors of this research seminar series: M. Ali Kemal and Haroon Sarwar. Both of them deserve commendation for their consistent effort, stimulating discussions, and bringing important issues on the discussion table. We are looking forward to listening from our audience and expect enthusiastic participation in the forthcoming research seminars.
