Peshawar Karachi Motorway (PKM) Project Construction of Sukkur-Multan Section (392 km)

Brief Scope / Objectives of the Project
The project envisages construction of 392 km, 6 lanes access controlled Motorway of Sukkur - Multan Section of Karachi Peshawar Motorway with design speed of 120 km/h. The proposed scope of work includes provision of construction of 135 bridges, 11 interchanges, 10 flyovers, 32 service & rest areas, 22 toll plazas, 1,148 culverts, 426 underpasses / subways / cattle creeps, nallahs and other allied structures etc.

Benefits of the Project
The Karachi – Multan – Lahore Motorway of which the proposed section is a part, shall reduce the traffic congestion drastically, particularly the heavy vehicular North and South bound traffic on the National Highway N-5, and will also attract maximum passenger / cargo movements.

Final Expenditure: Rs.267577.32 Million
