Holds a doctoral degree along with an M.Sc. (Hons.) in agriculture with a major subject of agronomy from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF). He has more than 34 years of diversified experience in the public sector, including 18 years in the Government of Punjab and more than 16 years in the Federal Government of Pakistan. Major tasks performed include agricultural extension, training of field staff, planning, technical appraisal, monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives/projects, development of short/long-term plans and analysis of certain policies. Prior to joining back this section as Deputy Chief, worked in the Monitoring and Evaluation Section of the Projects Wing, of this ministry as Director, Social Sector, during 2015-2018, wherein he monitored and evaluated a number of ongoing and completed development projects. Led the Science and Technology Section as Deputy Chief In-Charge for more than 2 years during 2021-2023. Currently working as Chief of the Food and Agriculture Section. Qualified the 27th Senior Management Course (SMC) during 2021 successfully. Awarded as Best Officer during 2022. Attended several domestic and international trainings and represented the country at several international fora.
